GEORGE TOWN, October 3 – The distribution of Pakatan Harapan (PH) seats for the 15th General Election (GE15) has been completed and will be brought to the Presidential Council this Wednesday. Deputy President of the People’s Justice Party (PKR), Rafizi Ramli said, so far all states have been completed except Kedah and Sabah, but it is expected to be completed by this Wednesday.

“The distribution of seats has been completed and the results of the negotiations will be brought to the Presidential Council this Wednesday. So far, all the states have been completed, the ones still negotiating are Kedah and Sabah, and that’s only two or three seats. We are confident that we will be able to complete it by this Wednesday, so I can say that the negotiations for the parliamentary seat have been completed,” he said when met after holding a town hall session at Auditorium A Komtar here on Sunday.

According to Rafizi, every party in the coalition will get an increase in seats in this election when Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is no longer with PH. All parties will get more seats because Bersatu used to compete for 52 seats, which will be contested by DAP, PKR and Amanah according to the suitability of each seat. Therefore, all parties will indeed get more seats. Sarawak was not a big issue because Bersatu did not contest at that time and there was not much difference in terms of seat distribution like in the last GE.

Only Sabah had to negotiate with Pertubuhan Kinabalu Progresif Bersatu (UPKO) because UPKO was not PH before, so it took a little time. ” he said. In the meantime, Rafizi, who is also the PKR Election Director, confirmed that he wants to run for the Pandan parliamentary seat in GE15.
