KUALA LUMPUR, November 27 – The announcement of the Cabinet list will take a few more days, said Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This is because he does not want to appoint ministers with the aim of giving excessive ‘rewards’. Anwar said that discussions to appoint ministers are also being carried out with the coalition party Pakatan Harapan (PH). It is still under discussion, in a few days, God willing, we will present the proposal,” he said.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday chaired a Special Meeting of the National Livelihood Action Council for 2022 together with government departments and agencies to discuss the issue of the cost of living which is pressing on the people. Among the high-ranking government officials present at the meeting that started at 11 this morning were Chief Secretary Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia Tan Sri Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus.

Officials from the Department of Statistics, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Ministry Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. A press conference is expected to be held after the meeting. On Saturday, Anwar was reported to have said that the meeting on the cost of living needed to be held immediately as there was an urgent need regarding the issue.
