KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 – The flow of traffic from the Gombak Toll Plaza towards the East Coast began to be congested as of 11am today as people returned to their villages to celebrate Aidilfitri. A spokesperson for the Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) said the traffic flow was high in the East direction from the Gombak Toll Plaza to Bukit Tinggi. “Vehicles have increased since yesterday but are still moving slowly and the traffic flow is congested up to Genting Sempah, Pahang.
“In addition, traffic flow on East Coast Highway 1 (LPT) and LPT 2 was reported to be smooth in both directions,” he said when contacted today. Meanwhile, a PLUS Malaysia spokesperson said the flow of traffic on the two main highways heading north and south was moving smoothly, namely at the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza and Jalan Duta Toll Plaza. Through the official account of Twitter PLUS informed that traffic in the North direction from Slim River to Sungkai was found to be slow while there was an accident at Kilometer 301.8 in the north direction from Bangi to Kajang.
