KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 – Secret Recipe and Universal Music Malaysia have teamed up to offer a unique and exciting experience for all Malaysians. The partnership between the two leading brands has already brought music and food lovers together at a concert featuring local talents under Universal Music Malaysia, such as Athalia, Bella Astillah, Meer Nash, and Yonnyboii. This collaboration is a perfect match for the two well-known household brands that share the same brand ethos and values, and are always focused on promoting local talents and delicacies.

As part of the partnership, Celebrity Chef Anis Nabilah has created a special menu for Secret Recipe, including three variations of Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik, Nasi Kerabu Ikan Saba Percik, and two refreshing beverages, Kurma Calamansi Fizz and Ice Blended Onde-Onde. The seasonal menu has been extended until July 2023 due to its popularity among foodies. Patrick Sim, Managing Director of Secret Recipe, said, “Being able to share the stage with Universal Music Malaysia has been a refreshing experience, and I hope that this partnership will only flourish and grow as we continue to bring exciting campaigns to the stage.

This is in line with our vision of putting different ‘flavours’ on the table for all to indulge in.” Kim Lim, Managing Director of Universal Music Malaysia, added, “Partnering with a huge homegrown brand like Secret Recipe has raised our bars even higher, and this only means more exciting and revolutionary campaigns and experiences ahead. That said, we believe that this partnership is a uniquely timely one.” The partnership also includes a Mother’s Day promotion, where Yonnyboii will design a limited-edition gift card for Secret Recipe customers who purchase any of their whole cakes.

The gift card will feature a Mother’s Day playlist for customers to serenade their loved ones with in appreciation of all their hard work and dedication. Evelyn Lee, Head of Marketing of Secret Recipe, said, “We are dedicated to bringing everyday moments up a notch through these collaborations, which we believe will resonate with Malaysians.” With good music and good food, Secret Recipe and Universal Music Malaysia have shown that you can indeed have your cake and eat it too!
