SHAH ALAM, July 13 – The political ideology advocated by PAS cannot be compared to other parties because it has a different understanding. According to the Chief Minister of Kedah, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor, PAS operates on a different level as it not only manages worldly affairs but also the afterlife. He said that if we were to compare the political ideologies of former UMNO Youth Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, and former UMNO Deputy Youth Chief, Shahril Hamdan, they do not achieve the same objectives.
“If we want to assess PAS based on contemporary political thinking, this party has surpassed the world. PAS is not just a political party; it is also a tarbiyah party that educates the public as long as they do not understand the true meaning of Islamic politics,” he said. He made these remarks in response to a question posed by Khairy, also known as KJ, who claimed in his podcast Keluar Sekejap on Tuesday that PAS focuses more on religious issues rather than the economy, the ringgit, and the stock market, especially leading up to the state elections (PRN).
Further commenting on the matter, Muhammad Sanusi explained that PAS focuses on preparing Muslims for the afterlife. “In the grave and on the Day of Judgment, there will be a weighing scale and questions asked. If we rely solely on worldly possessions like the ringgit and cost of living, it will all end when we die. “All actions in politics by PAS will be questioned in the grave regarding God, the Prophet, and following,” he said. Muhammad Sanusi emphasized that PAS is completely different from other political parties because it manages both worldly affairs and the afterlife.
