The recently concluded 360Malaysia – Langkawi Adventure brought together the two organizations to revive the tourism industry, with a focus on Langkawi. The event featured fifteen top creators from the Insta360 community in the Asia Pacific region, who embarked on a 6-day, 5-night immersive experience.

During the 360Malaysia event, the creators used Insta360 cameras to capture the island’s breathtaking natural beauty, wildlife, and rich history. With its lush rainforests and pristine beaches, Langkawi provided the perfect backdrop for these creators to showcase what makes the island truly unique. The initiative focused on promoting ecotourism, art, and culture, allowing the creators to partake in various activities such as island hopping, sunset cruises, water sports, and mangrove planting at the picturesque Kubang Badak River.

These experiences highlight the diverse range of attractions that tourists can enjoy in Langkawi. Dato’ Dr. Ammar Bin Abd. Ghapar, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Insta360 to showcase the breathtaking beauty of Langkawi to the world. Through immersive 360-degree videos, our aim is to highlight the island’s natural wonders and cultural heritage.

By harnessing innovative technologies like Insta360 cameras, we can capture and share captivating experiences that will attract more visitors to Langkawi, thereby boosting its tourism economy.” Langkawi’s strategic location as a duty-free island, coupled with its proximity to other popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, positions it as a key player in the region’s tourism industry. The partnership with Insta360 aims to leverage these advantages and establish Langkawi as a premier destination for global travelers.

With careful planning and ongoing efforts, Malaysia aims to achieve 23.5 million international tourist arrivals and RM76.8 billion in tourism receipts by 2025. The collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and Insta360 is a testament to the country’s commitment to the revival and growth of the tourism sector.
