YILAN, TAIWAN, July 29 – The 2023 Yilan International Children’s Folklore & Folkgame Festival is set to captivate visitors from July 1st to August 13th at Dong-Shan River Park in Yilan County, Taiwan. With the thrilling theme of “Gaming in the Metaverse” this year, the festival boasts a wide array of innovative waterplay facilities in the “Waterverse” that will delight both children and adults. Additionally, visitors can experience exhilarating high-altitude activities at the iconic Starry Sky Tower.
To truly appreciate the excitement, there’s nothing like a personal visit to the festival! The centerpiece of this year’s festival is the dazzling “Interstellar Headquarters,” located in the middle of the pools. Resembling a colossal rocket tower, this impressive structure spans 45 meters in width and stands 12 meters tall, spanning across three major pools. Stepping into the space shuttle, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Dong-Shan Park while experiencing the thrill of high-speed water skiing, simulating an astronaut’s rocket ride.
In front of the rocket tower, the “Water Arena” awaits, where water columns dance in synchronization with captivating music. These facilities combine to create an exciting, cozy, and safe space for all visitors to enjoy a splashing summer. Adjacent to the pools, the Starry Sky Tower offers even more fun, featuring the 270-meter “Skydrop Adventure” for soaring high above the pools, the thrilling 14-meter-high “Soaring Skyslide” for a rapid descent, and the 4-story-high “Skybound Swingtopia,” among other breathtaking high-altitude attractions.
