TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August 31 – The Department of Information and Tourism (DOIT) of Taipei City Government is embarking on three post-COVID tourism promotion and industry-exchange activities in Singapore and Malaysia from August 21 to 25. Commissioner Chen Shu-Hui unveiled special “Taipei Travel Gift Bags,” “Singapore and Malaysia Tourist Exclusive Packages,” and other special deals in a bid to attract more visitors from these countries.

For first-time Muslim travelers visiting Taiwan, DOIT recommends classic city attractions such as Taipei 101, the National Palace Museum, and Liberty Square. Meanwhile, for travelers of Chinese descent with a high revisit rate, emerging attractions such as the Taipei Music Center, Taipei Performing Arts Center, and Rongjin Gorgeous Time offer unique experiences. Commissioner Chen highlights that Taipei is just 4 to 5 hours away from Singapore and Malaysia, making it an ideal destination for a wonderful holiday.

This campaign features the participation of 12 enterprises, including renowned hotels, commercial districts, souvenir shops, food and beverage establishments, wedding salons, and cultural-creative brands. DOIT emphasized that Taipei City hosts a wide range of captivating events, particularly the Taipei New Year’s Eve party on December 31, followed by the Taipei 101 fireworks show. This event draws hundreds of thousands of revelers counting down to the New Year. Additionally, the 2024 Taipei Lantern Festival will take place in February, forming the premier showcase of Asia’s classic “double New Year” celebration season.

International explorers are warmly invited to participate in these grand events. To entice visitors, the Taipei City Government is launching a preferential deal program from September 1 to December 31. Travelers who purchase China Airlines tickets for travel from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur to Taipei during this period will receive an exclusive limited-edition “Taipei Travel Gift Bag” containing local-transportation tickets, shopping district gift coupons, and hotel stay vouchers.

The “Singapore and Malaysia Tourist Exclusive Package” is also being introduced, allowing tourists to enjoy perks like free beef noodles, pastry DIY sessions, and wedding salon photoshoot deals by simply presenting their passports. These enticing offers promise different surprises for each visit to Taipei.
