GEORGE TOWN, September 2 – xFusion International Pte Ltd (“xFusion”), a prominent global provider of computing power infrastructure and services, has selected Malaysia, specifically Penang, as the location for its inaugural Global Supply Center. The facility, spanning 254,491 square feet, is set to become a vital hub for xFusion’s international operations, with an impressive annual production capacity exceeding 150,000 units, including Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) servers. NationGate Holdings Berhad (“NationGate”) has been appointed as xFusion’s strategic partner for the manufacture of GPU servers destined for the global market.

GPU servers are high-performance servers designed for data centers, serving purposes in artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, databases, and video analysis scenarios. This collaboration with homegrown electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider NationGate underscores Malaysia’s continued participation in the global growth of this industry, which has expanded by an average of 30% over the last five years, especially in China. The inauguration of the Global Supply Center was graced by the Chief Minister of Penang, Yang Amat Berhormat (“YAB”) Tuan Chow Kon Yeow.

Alongside key figures such as Dato’ Seri Lee Kah Choon, Director of InvestPenang; Dato’ Loo Lee Lian, Chief Executive Officer of InvestPenang; Encik Mohammad Ghaddaffi Sardar Mohamed, Director of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Penang; Dato’ Seri Wong Siew Hai, President of Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association; Mr. Jeffrey Liu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of xFusion Digital Technologies Co., Ltd, and Mr. Ooi Eng Leong, Managing Director of NationGate. Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow expressed his commitment to enhancing industrial clusters and promoting emerging sectors in Penang.

He conveyed his satisfaction in hosting xFusion’s Global Supply Center, anticipating that the collaboration between xFusion and NationGate would bring significant potential and strengthen Penang’s digital infrastructure and connectivity. Mr. Jeffrey Liu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of xFusion, emphasized the strategic importance of opening the Global Supply Center in Penang as part of the company’s international growth strategy. He highlighted Penang’s reputation as a high-tech manufacturing hub and the ideal choice for the center due to its skilled workforce, mature supply chain, and proximity to business partner NationGate.
