SHAH ALAM, September 9 – Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) has unveiled two new A3 monochrome single-function laser printers, the imageCLASS LBP458x and LBP456w. These printers are designed to deliver precision, speed, and versatility for businesses, catering to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and large enterprises alike. The imageCLASS LBP450 series is a significant addition to Canon’s printer lineup, aimed at dynamic workplaces.
Sandy Lee, Head of the Consumer System Products Division at Canon Marketing Malaysia, emphasized the printers’ blazing fast speeds, exceptional resolution, and seamless connectivity, stating that they offer “A Class of Excellence” to streamline business operations. One standout feature of these printers is Canon’s proprietary On-Demand Fixing Technology, which enables users to get their first print from the LBP450 series in just 6.3 seconds after sending a print job. This is approximately 30% faster than previous models. The LBP456w can produce A4 documents at speeds of up to 30 pages per minute (ppm), while the LBP458x outperforms that with 43 ppm for A4 documents.
Both models support automatic double-sided printing. The LBP458x also boasts additional PCL print language and genuine Adobe PostScript, simplifying integration with various business applications. The LBP450 series offers diverse connectivity options. In addition to USB and Gigabit Ethernet, these printers come with wireless connectivity, catering to modern workspaces. Moreover, dual network support allows these printers to be shared across two different networks simultaneously, enabling IT administrators to perform network segmentation without compromising security.
These printers are equipped with a 5-line LCD display that provides essential information at a glance, making device management and maintenance straightforward. The LCD display also offers guided instructions for device setup and simple troubleshooting. The standard 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, combined with three optional 550-sheet paper feeders, give these printers an impressive total paper input capacity of 2,000 sheets. This feature makes them suitable for businesses with high-volume printing needs.
Canon’s All-In-One Toner Cartridge 062 combines the photosensitive drum, toner reservoir, and waste toner box into a compact unit, offering users a hassle-free toner replacement experience with an impressive 11,000-page yield. The new imageCLASS LBP456w and LBP458x are available starting today at all authorized Canon dealers.
