GEORGE TOWN, September 12 – Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), the provider of Penang Ferry Service, extends its heartfelt appreciation to all valued patrons for their unwavering support. PPSB acknowledges the loyalty and feedback from patrons, which have been instrumental in enhancing services continually. Throughout this month, PPSB has diligently listened to public comments and concerns regarding the Penang ferry services. Patrons’ inputs are invaluable, and the commitment is to address their needs and ensure a seamless travel experience.
In response to the feedback received, PPSB, jointly with the Penang Port Commission (PPC), Ministry of Transport (MOT), and MMC Corporation Berhad (MMC), is delighted to announce a special initiative aimed at providing convenience and affordability to ferry patrons. Effective from September 12th, 2023, PPSB offers a 30% discount on fares through a discounted season pass specifically designed for motorcyclists. This discount will remain available until June 30th, 2024.
The original price of RM150 for the season pass is reduced to RM105, and for 60 trips, the original price of RM2.50 per trip is reduced to RM1.75 per trip through the discounted season pass, which is available via MyKad. PPSB, PPC, MOT, and MMC recognize the importance of synchronizing ferry services with other modes of transportation in Penang. To better serve commuters, the ferry service schedule will now include an additional trip at 11:00 pm daily from Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) in Butterworth.
This adjustment aligns PPSB’s ferry service with the KTMB ETS train schedule, ensuring a seamless and convenient travel experience for passengers arriving at 10:22 pm.
