The latter boasts an innovative tetraprism design with a combined optical image stabilization and autofocus 3D sensor-shift module, Apple’s most advanced stabilization system to date. These devices use more recycled content, feature 100 percent recycled aluminum substructures, and contain 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. They also incorporate 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets and 100 percent recycled gold in the USB‑C connector. The packaging is fiber-based, moving closer to Apple’s goal of eliminating plastic from packaging by 2025. Additionally, Apple is phasing out the use of leather in its products.
Instead, it introduces the FineWoven Case with MagSafe and FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe, made from a microtwill material with a soft, suede-like feel, containing 68 percent post-consumer recycled content.
