KUALA LUMPUR, September 13 – Chubb, a leading global insurance company, has announced the appointment of Kenny Tan as its new Chief Operating Officer for Malaysia. In his new role, Tan will hold overall responsibility for the development and implementation of Chubb’s strategic plan across its business operations in Malaysia. Additionally, he will lead the transformation and growth initiatives of the agency channel while enhancing the operational capabilities of the company.
With over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, both in the United States (US) and Malaysia, Tan brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. He spent the initial 12 years of his career in various actuarial and senior management positions in the US before joining one of Malaysia’s largest general insurance firms in 2017. His expertise in operations, management, underwriting, and finance, coupled with his background as an actuary, has provided him with a deep and holistic understanding of the insurance landscape.
