KUALA LUMPUR, November 20 – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah told the leader of the political party with the most seats to inform the Istana Negara about the coalition agreed upon for the form of government. Istana Negara through a statement said, Party leaders, leaders of political coalitions are asked to submit the names of Prime Minister candidates to Istana Negara before 2pm tomorrow.

Also said in the statement that the heads of political parties and the heads of coalitions of political parties that have a large number of seats have been asked to inform Istana Negara of the coalition of political parties that has been agreed between them for the formation of a new government after the 15th General Election. (GE15). It is in line with Article 40(2)(a) and Article 43(2)(a) of the Federal Constitution that His Majesty’s order of approval and decision regarding the formation of a new government and the appointment of the Prime Minister through the process that has been explained is final.

Seri Paduka Baginda advises the people and leaders of political parties to comply and respect the democratic process and accept the results of the 15th general election with calm and generous in order to maintain the integrity of the country because this country is like an inheritance where the leaders are its trustees. His Majesty also reminded that the country needs a stable, authoritative and integrity government to safeguard the welfare of the people and drive the national welfare agenda.
