PERMATANG PAUH, July 17 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) must devise powerful strategies to mobilize the grassroots of their respective parties in order to win the upcoming State Elections (PRN) in six states on August 12. PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that another requirement for the two political giants to achieve victory is to mobilize all the party machinery within the Perpaduan Government.

“This is my message, UMNO has its base in the villages, DAP has its base in the cities, and PKR is a mixture. If PH and BN have powerful strategies, gather the strength of their grassroots for the future. “No one can shake our position, believe me, no one can shake us,” he said during a speech at the Unity Outreach Program and the Launching of the Unity Machinery in Penang at Seberang Jaya Expo Site tonight.

Also present were BN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, PKR Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, PH Penang Chairman Chow Kon Yeow, and leaders from BN and PH. The PKR President believes that the PH-BN coalition will make history with an exceptional outcome in Penang. He said that for the first time, the former ruling PH and the strong opposition BN in Penang are now joining forces.

Anwar, who concluded a busy schedule during his working visit to the Pearl of the Orient tonight, said that the PH-BN coalition is not about retaining power but based on the principle of saving the country and preserving the new governance of Malaysia. “If we look at the common estimation, through this coalition of the two giants, I believe we will forge an exceptional outcome in Penang,” he said.

The Tambun Member of Parliament also stated that the PH administration under Chow’s leadership has performed well, and he will remain as Chief Minister if the PH-BN coalition wins in the Penang State Elections.
