KUALA LUMPUR, December 21 – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has celebrated a successful year in 2023, hosting a record-breaking 1,724 events, the highest since 2014. The venue welcomed 1,342,295 delegates, both international and Malaysian, resulting in an estimated RM656 million in economic impact for Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. The Centre’s General Manager, John Burke, praised the teamwork and efforts of the entire Malaysian business events supply chain, contributing to the venue’s success.

The Centre achieved recognition in various areas, including sustainability, winning awards like “Best Managed & Sustainable Property” and “Malaysia’s Outstanding Specialised Development 2023.” Looking ahead to 2024, the Centre has already secured 65% of its revenue target through advance bookings, signaling a positive outlook for the coming year.
