KOTA SAMARAHAN, March 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has issued a stern reminder to all parties not to take matters into their own hands following the recent incident involving a Molotov cocktail hurled at a KK Mart convenience store in Sungai Isap, Kuantan. Emphasizing the importance of respecting the legal process, Anwar urged the public to refrain from resorting to violence and instead cooperate with authorities in addressing any misconduct.

Speaking after attending the Madani Sarawak 2024 Breaking Fast ceremony, Anwar reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to peace and social harmony, condemning any attempts to exploit racial or religious sentiments to disrupt the country’s order. He assured that stringent action would be taken against those responsible for such acts of violence, underscoring the government’s resolve to uphold law and order.

Meanwhile, in response to concerns regarding the registration of the Main Database System (Padu) in Sarawak, Anwar stressed the importance of constructive dialogue in addressing these issues. He expressed confidence that all concerns raised could be resolved through amicable discussions, highlighting the government’s commitment to addressing stakeholders’ concerns in a collaborative manner.
