BATANG KALI, April 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stated that discussions regarding Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) candidate selection for the upcoming Kuala Kubu Baru by-election have not taken place yet. “I have not discussed with anybody on this,” Anwar informed reporters briefly after performing Friday prayers at Masjid Bandar Utama here.

The Election Commission (EC) has slated the polling day for the Kuala Kubu Baru by-election on May 11, with nominations and early voting scheduled for April 27 and May 7, respectively. The Selangor state seat became vacant following the passing of its incumbent, DAP’s Lee Kee, on March 21. Lee, aged 58, had been battling cancer for several years.
