PUTRAJAYA, March 14 – Appeals over unsuccessful applications for the 2016 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) will be accepted from tomorrow until April 15, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah. He said the appeals could be made at any branch of the Internal Revenue Board (LHDN), including the Revenue Service Centre (PKH), and nearest Urban Transformation Centre (UTC).

Applicants must fill up the appeal form and submit them with the relevant supporting documents such as pay slip and a copy of the identitiy card of the spouse or dependents, he said. Ahmad Husni said in a statement today that almost 7.1 million applications for the 2016 BR1M had been approved.

It encompassed household aid of RM1,050 to almost 162,000 recipients, household aid of RM1,000 to 3.4 million recipients, household aid of RM800 to 380,000 recipients and individual aid of RM400 to 3.2 million recipients. Ahmad Husni said existing recipients who wanted to upgrade their personal details such as bank account number, information on next-of-kin and postal address could do so at the closest LHDN, PKH and UTC during the appeal period.
