PENANG, January 8 – Throughout the campaign, everyone is encouraged to participate in YOUphoria’s online short video challenge called “Hey YOU! Let It Glow Challenge.” from 2nd January, 2022 until 12nd January 2022. The goal of this challenge is to encourage the audience to practise self-love and empowerment in their daily life. Five participants with the most creative video’s compilations of all will have a chance to win attractive prizes and E-certificate from YOUphoria. Three winners and two consolation prizes will be awarded (for each categories):
1st Prize: worth RM80 + E-Certificate
2nd Prize: worth RM50 + E-Certificate
3rd Prize: worth RM 30 + E-Certificate Consolation Prize × 2: merchandise + E-Certificate
This challenge is being organised by persuasive communication final year students from Universiti Sains Malaysia’s School of Communication in conjunction with the YOUphoria campaign. The two-month social campaign is conducted online with the goal of educating youth on the importance of self-care, self-love, and empowerment, as well as inspiring youth to make positive lifestyle choices.
The theme for the challenge is ‘Courage and Love’ which encourages youth to participate in self-care activities that help to nurture youth mental and physical health and lead to a positive lifestyle. The following self-care activities or could be more can to be included in this challenge:
- Sleep 1 hour earlier than usual
- Engage in exercise
- Watch sunrise/sunset
- Eat healthy meal
- Practice meditation
- Go for a walk
- Drink water
- Listen to a music
- Read a book
- Spend one hour with nature
This competition requires participants to be between the ages of 15 and 30. Participants who wish to participate in this challenge must create video compilations of 5 to 10 self-care activities provided by the organiser or other self-care activities that they feel can uplift their spirit and motivation to be better. They must be as creative as possible in order to fit the activities into a 40 to 60 seconds video with the hashtags #YOUareworthy, #YOUshine, and #YOUshare.
To submit a submission form, participants must use the Google Form link provided on all of YOUphoria’s official social media channels https://linktr.ee/youphoriausm. Winners will be announced during YOUphoria’s closing ceremony, dubbed “The Golden YOU,” on 17th January 2022, as well as on YOUphoria’s social media platforms. Five winners will be chosen based on their innovative and creativity in creating the video and adhering to the rules of the challenge. So, what are you holding out for?
