KUALA LUMPUR, September 8 – Sameer Zunya, a promising newcomer in the music industry, has achieved remarkable success with his debut album. Following the release of MVs for “Beautiful Night” and “Love Boat,” the company is now set to launch the “All Is Well” MV. This song, a touching tribute to Sameer Zunya’s late grandfather, reflects his commitment to music even during challenging times. Despite caring for his grandfather at the hospital daily during the album’s preparation, Sameer Zunya’s passion for music remained unwavering, with songwriting sessions beginning as early as 4 AM.
The “All Is Well” MV, shot in Hokkaido, Japan, portrays the natural beauty of the region and conveys a soothing sense of healing. The single-shot MV showcases the simple yet captivating beauty of the landscape, emphasizing the message of “All Is Well.” The MV will officially debut on August 11 at 8:00 PM. Throughout the period of preparing his debut album, Sameer Zunya’s grandfather was hospitalized, requiring his constant care from 7 AM daily. However, Sameer Zunya did not allow this to deter his musical endeavors. He continued to wake up at 4 AM to write songs, including “All Is Well,” during this challenging time.
Sameer Zunya shared that he once mixed the song at the hospital and was so emotionally involved that he didn’t hear his grandfather calling for him with headphones on. He only realized when a nurse brought it to his attention, leading him to feel quite embarrassed. The first line of the song, “All Is Well, after the clouds, there will be a rainbow,” captures his attempt to encourage his grandfather while also soothing his own emotional state at the time. Interestingly, the version of “All Is Well” included in the album was recorded immediately after the song was written, without re-entering the studio for vocal recording.
Despite being recorded at 4 AM, the song captures his raw emotions and vulnerability, making it particularly poignant. In preparation for his first solo concert, Sameer Zunya traveled to Hokkaido to shoot the “All Is Well” MV. This marked his first time shooting an MV abroad and visiting Japan. Excited about the experience, he remarked, “My impression of Japan this time is that the environment is very clean, the food is delicious, and the scenery is beautiful. You can shoot anywhere with just ‘one take’!” The MV was shot at Moerenuma Park in Sapporo, where the breathtaking scenery offered a serene and joyful atmosphere for everyone present.
Sameer Zunya exclaimed happily, “The sky here is so blue, the hills are so high, and the fields are so green!” Even the director on set couldn’t help but exclaim “Oh My God” as the shooting unfolded! The entire process of shooting the MV and the final product embodies the essence of the song’s title, “All Is Well,” radiating a healing energy.
