KUALA LUMPUR, October 15 – Local internet service provider, Time, is gearing up to launch its fiber to the room (FTTR) solution known as Gig Speed Home. Following CelcomDigi’s launch of the first FTTR solution in Malaysia, Time has now unveiled its pricing for Gig Speed Home packages. Time is offering three different Gig Speed Home packages, catering to various home sizes. The base package, designed for homes with up to 1,000 sq ft and two rooms, includes a main parent node and a child node. During the early bird promotion, this package is priced at RM1,320, with a regular retail price of RM2,640.
For homes with three rooms and up to 1,500 sq ft, an additional child node can be added to the package, priced at RM1,800 during the promotion (RRP RM3,600). The most comprehensive package, suitable for houses with four rooms and up to 2,000 sq ft, offers three child nodes for RM2,160 during the early bird promotion (RRP RM4,320). It’s important to note that these prices cover the Gig Speed Home packages alone, and you will still need to subscribe to a Time internet plan to use this service. Time has not specified how long the early bird promotion will last.
If you have been a Time customer in Malaysia for over six months with no outstanding payments, you may opt for a 24-month easy payment plan. Here’s how much the packages cost per month when selecting the 24-month payment plan during the early bird promotion:
- Gig Speed Home, 1 parent node + 1 child node – RM55/month
- Gig Speed Home, 1 parent node + 2 child nodes – RM75/month
- Gig Speed Home, 1 parent node + 3 child nodes – RM90/month
While the packages are viewable on Time’s website, they are currently in the “Preregister Now” phase. Time has announced a roadshow at IPC Damansara from October 19 to October 22, where Gig Speed Home will likely be officially available. Visitors to the roadshow may also have the opportunity to win a complete FTTR installation, IKEA vouchers, and a year’s worth of free internet from Time.
To participate, you’ll need to make a minimum purchase of RM500 across up to three receipts in a single day from any outlet in either IPC Damansara or IKEA Damansara. Then, head over to the Time Gig Speed Home roadshow at the Concourse level in IPC Damansara to submit your entry for a chance to win the mentioned prizes.
