KUALA LUMPUR, November 12 – In a bid to acknowledge and celebrate the continued contributions of retired civil servants who actively serve and empower their communities even in retirement, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP], in partnership with the Public Services Department (JPA), is inviting all retired public sector workers to participate in this year’s Anugerah MyPesara award program. This prestigious award program also seeks to inspire retirees, as well as those approaching retirement, to remain active, productive, and make positive contributions to society during their retirement years.
The Anugerah MyPesara program is divided into three categories: Education, Social and Community Service, and Entrepreneurship. It is open to Malaysian citizens aged 55 and above who currently receive government monthly pensions and have retired from federal and state public services, statutory bodies, and local authorities. However, retirees from the Malaysian armed forces are not eligible. Public sector retirees interested in participating in Anugerah MyPesara can submit their entries from October 10, 2023, to November 10, 2023.
Entries can be submitted via email to [email protected], by post, or in person at KWAP offices in Kuala Lumpur or Cyberjaya. Additionally, submission opportunities will be available at the Jelajah MyPesara roadshows held during this period. For further details and access to the nomination form, please visit www.kwap.gov.my/anugerahmypesara. The winners of Anugerah MyPesara will be announced during an award ceremony on December 14, 2023. The grand prize recipient of Anugerah MyPesara will receive a cash prize of up to RM50,000, along with a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.
Each category will also have three winners, each receiving a cash prize of RM10,000, a trophy, and a certificate. Furthermore, five consolation prize winners from each category will be awarded RM3,000, a trophy, and a certificate of appreciation. KWAP has also organized Jelajah MyPesara throughout the year across the country, offering advisory services to potential retirees on various retirement aspects, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and healthcare. These services will continue to be available until the end of the year.
To conclude the Jelajah MyPesara program, KWAP will host Karnival MyPesara, scheduled for November 25 and 26, 2023, at Dataran Karnival Stadium Shah Alam. With its tagline “Your Retirement Companion,” KWAP is dedicated to empowering retired public sector workers through its MyPesara initiatives. These initiatives take a comprehensive approach to enhance retirees’ quality of life during their retirement years.
